In 1936 the new car Gaz-M1 changed the outmoded Gaz-A (1932). The pickup trucks (wagons) Gaz-4 were produced by small series on the understructure of Gaz-A, and because of breaking down the output of base car it was needed to create the pickup on the chassis of model «M». But the Gaz-M1 as against Gaz-A had metallic top, that's why the preparation to the output of so much-needed to the country pickup truck run over time for one and half year (1,5). The serial vehicle Gaz-415 retained from M1 the frame, running gear (undercarriage) and «plumage», what allowed increasing the output of cargo-passenger car (lightly less five thousand cars were produced in four years). The weight-lifting of Gaz-415 permitted to convey 2 people and 500 kg of load or 8 people (6 people on the drop benches). The most pickup trucks were passed to the army service, that's why almost all vehicles were destroyed in first months of war. Nowadays there are only three known Gaz-415 in our country.
